son volt may not have the boquist brothers anymore (lord, i miss those boys) however, farrar's presence is really all you need to create that sound that is so uniquely 'son volt'. the new disk, 'the search' has a few moments of brilliance. enjoy these and oh, go buy okemah, if you haven't already.

The Search is a VAST improvement over Okemah. Neither rate in my all time Jay Farrar top 5 albums though.
I agree about the top 5. Early Son Volt is epic.
